The Geelong Day View Club is spreading holiday cheer this Christmas by offering a charity gift wrapping service here at Corio Village. Volunteers from the club are dedicating their time and skills to wrapping gifts in beautifully festive paper, ensuring that each present is perfectly presented for the season.
All proceeds from the gift-wrapping service go towards supporting the Smith Foundation’s Learning for Life initiative. They currently sponsor 15 children and are looking to spread the love even further in 2025. It costs approximately $650 to sponsor one child in the program and any funds raised at this year’s gift-wrapping station will go towards sponsoring more children next year.
Last year’s efforts raised $1800 and the club are looking to exceed $2000 this year.
This festive effort not only eases the holiday rush for shoppers but also fosters a spirit of generosity and goodwill, making it a wonderful way to give back during the Christmas season.
The lovely volunteers will be here at the centre from the Monday 16th – Tuesday 24th December from 10am until 6pm daily located near Skechers.
